Duration of Registration Requirement:

Life, 25 years, or 15 years depending on the offenses.  Rev. Neb. Stat. § 29-4005(1)(b).

Early Termination:

15 year period may be reduced to 10 years upon petition after 10 years. See 29-4005(2).

Pardon relieves registration obligation.  Out-of-state pardon also given effect.  See 4003(1)(a)(ii).

Probation set aside does not provide relief from registration obligation, see 29-2264(5)(j), nor does any other “comparable procedure” from another jurisdiction “to nullify a conviction other than by a pardon.” See 4003(1)(a)(ii).

Early Termination for Juveniles:

Juveniles not subject to SORA unless prosecuted in adult court. Same rule applies to out of state juvenile offenders.

Eligibility:

15 year reduction: No sex offense/felony convictions during registration period. See 29-4005(2)(a), (b).
